A jury for the four people accused of murdering Wairarapa supermarket worker Glen Jones has retired for the evening.
Tariana Jones, 33, Kristofer Jones, 23, Matthew McKinney, 29, and Hayden Ranson, 28 - have denied murdering the 40-year-old at his Featherston flat last January.
They are also considering a charge of aggravated burglary with a wooden bat and axe handle for Tariana Jones and Kristofer Jones, and 23-year-old Toni Miller.
McKinney and Ranson have already pleaded guilty to the charge.
The Crown allege the four defendants charged with murder attacked Mr Jones, while Miller, 23 waited on the street. The attack was in retaliation to an allegation of rape made against Mr Jones by someone known to the group, the Crown has submitted.
