WINSTON calling ? no, not really but former New Zealand First list MP Edwin Perry is heading overseas ? to Vietnam.
Mr Perry has arranged to buy a shipment of surplus army equipment and clothing and will return to Masterton to open an army surplus store and a container warehouse business.
The army store will be called The Bunker Army Surplus and is likely to be painted in camouflage colours.
Mr Perry said most of the goods on sale would have originally belonged to the United States Army and will include clothing, boots, tents, sleeping bags and jerry cans.
The back part of the Church Street shop will be the container warehouse where customers will be able to pick and choose what they want directly from containers.
Mr Perry said he was also hoping to bring back two army jeeps, one for re-sale and the other as a showpiece.
