Seven members of the Army's Artillery Regiment are in Canberra, taking part in commemorations of the 40th Anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan.
Soldiers from 161 Battery, based at Linton, will join their Australian counterparts in a symbolic regimental fire mission and a parade through the streets of Canberra.
Long Tan was one of the most decisive battles of the Vietnam War. New Zealand artillery fire was used to help 250 Australian soldiers repel an attacking force of 1500 North Vietnamese.
