KEY POINTS:
A man armed with a knife and wearing a bandanna over his face robbed a video shop in Hamilton last night.
The man jumped over the counter of the Chartwell United Video shop and threatened the two staff members with the knife.
Hamilton police spokesman Andrew McAlley said the man was seen running through properties and onto Comrie Rd and was last seen in Belmont Street at about 9pm.
The man is described as Maori, 175 - 180cm tall, slim build, wearing a green headed sweatshirt, long pants and a red bandana.
Mr McAlley would not release how much money was taken from the shop.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 07 858 6200.
