KEY POINTS:
A female video store attendant was attacked by a knife-wielding robber in Christchurch this afternoon.
Police said a man in his 30s entered the Video Ezy outlet in Stanmore Rd, Linwood, about 3pm.
He threatened and assaulted the woman staff member before leaving with a small amount of cash, Inspector Mike Coulter, of the police southern communications centre, told NZPA.
The woman wasn't hurt and declined medical attention.
Mr Coulter said the robber was described as a tall Caucasian of medium build wearing a white jacket and black trousers. His face was covered by a multi-coloured scarf.
Police were interviewing staff and seeking witnesses to the incident.
