KEY POINTS:
Two 9-year-old kiwis have been released into the the wild as part of the Department of Conservation's kiwi recovery programme.
The two birds - Chelsea and April - yesterday moved to Pukaha Mount Bruce National Wildlife Centre.
It was the third move for the birds, who were taken from Orana Wildlife Park to Southern Encounter Aquarium and Kiwi House in Christchurch in 2002.
