KEY POINTS:
Police are today expected to name the father and daughter killed when their car collided with a tractor in Feilding on Saturday.
Police said early investigations indicated the car had crossed the tractor's path.
The man, 49, and his four-year-old daughter died at the scene about 9am.
Senior Sergeant Nigel Allan of Feilding police said there was no indication that speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
The pair's deaths were followed by another later that day, when a motorcyclist was hit by a truck in near Thames.
The man died at the scene of the crash on Steen Road, about 2km east of the Thames State Highway 25 turnoff.
Police northern communications spokesman Inspector Ian Brooker said the Waikato Serious Crash Unit was investigating.
Waikato police communications manager Andrew McAlley said the motorcyclist was believed to be from the United Kingdom and police were working with Interpol to identify him.
Mr McAlley said the crash had happened in wet conditions when the motorcyclist lost control of the bike and crossed into the path of an oncoming truck.
