Black Caps captain Daniel Vettori is pulling up stumps. With 13-month-old James in tow, and another toddler on the way, the cricket star and his wife Mary are selling their Remuera home.
They bought the three-bedroom Mainston Rd house four years ago, and are moving to a bigger, six-bedroom home in St Heliers.
Their Remuera house - which features in Saturday's HeraldHomes - has been renovated from top to bottom.
Mary Vettori said there was a new kitchen, laundry and bathrooms, while the house's brick base and "orangey school hall" weatherboards had been given a dark-paint treatment.
An upstairs living area opens on to a north-facing deck with a glass balustrade for unimpeded views. Downstairs is another lounge that can be opened out to another north-facing deck.
Vettori said it was his favourite room for relaxing in the house. "It's so enjoyable lying on the couch, watching TV, doors open, among the trees."
The house, which will be auctioned on June 1 unless sold prior, is expected to sell for more than its $800,000 CV.
