South Wairarapa Veterinary Services is spreading its wings and is expected to open a clinic in Masterton in May, on the site of the former Dave Anderson motorcycle business in Queen Street.
Practice manager Karen Hourigan confirmed on Friday the business will be expanding into Masterton but that the main animal hospital will remain in Carterton.
South Wairarapa Veterinary Services also has clinics in both Featherston and Martinborough.
Mrs Hourigan said no exact date has yet been set for opening the Masterton clinic, "but we are targeting May".
She said the Masterton clinic will deal with animals of all shapes and sizes and the premises will be outfitted with digital x-ray equipment able to cater for larger animals such as horses.
