The verdict on whether a man murdered Auckland taxi driver Hiren Mohini will be delivered today in China.
Mr Mohini was stabbed to death in Mt Eden in January last year.
Xiao Zhen has been on trial for his murder at the Number Two Intermediate People's Court in Shanghai.
He fled New Zealand after the stabbing but was arrested by police in China.
Under the Chinese Crimes Act there are different categories of murder and Zhen, is formally charged with the category that reads 'Murder wounding with intent to cause death'.
