Tony Veitch remains set to resume as Radio Sport's breakfast host despite reported tensions at work since his reappointment.
The Radio Network earlier this month announced Veitch would resume the job he held before he resigned in 2008 when details of an alleged assault on his former partner, Kristin Dunne-Powell, became public.
Media reports in the past two weeks said not all staff at Radio Sport were happy about Veitch's return, with some conflicts being aired.
But Radio Network talk programming general manager Dallas Gurney told NZPA that the plan for Veitch to resume his breakfast hosting job had not been changed.
Mr Gurney said he did not wish to comment on media reports about the staff conflicts.
Veitch pleaded guilty in Auckland District Court to charges of reckless disregard causing injury and was sentenced to 300 hours community service, nine months supervision and ordered to attend a programme directed by his probation officer aimed at stopping violence. He was also fined $10,000.
He had earlier paid $150,000 in reparation to Ms Dunne-Powell.
Veitch said upon news of his return as breakfast host that he could not wait to begin this next chapter in his life and that he was very grateful to The Radio Network.
