A powerpole has been sacrificed in the name of safety.

Electricity and gas supplier, Vector, has filmed a controlled crash between a power pole and a car.

The film will be used as an educational tool at staff safety workshops.

Cars hitting poles are one of the most common causes of problems or outages to the network.
