Wellington's newest $100,000 wind sculpture has been wrecked by vandals just two weeks after lighting up.
Tower of Light was part of the Meridian Energy Wellington Wind Sculpture Walk along Cobham Drive, near Wellington Airport.
But the new 9m addition is now battered and broken after rock-hurling vandals smashed all but one of its 10 coloured neon rings.
Wind powered the multicoloured rings; the stronger the breeze the brighter they shone.
