A van has leaked battery acid over the Southern Motorway in Auckland.
A fire service spokesman said a truck and a van collided around 3.50pm under the Greenlane East interchange. The van was carrying batteries.
"As a result of that there is battery acid that has been spilt."
The spokesman
said fire crews were now at the scene cleaning it up. He thought some absorbent material had already been applied.
There were no injuries and the spokesman did not believe a lane was blocked.
