The driver who pleaded guilty to causing the deaths of two motorcyclists believes he should not be the only one in court.
Owen Parnell, 25, will be sentenced tomorrow in Hawera District Court for two charges of careless driving causing death and four of careless driving causing injury.
Parnell was driving a van to the Naki Skids at Ferndene Speedway on December 1 last year when he collided with motorcyclists on a charity toy-run near Normanby.
Kelly Reardon, 40, and Gordon McKay, 68, were killed and four others were injured, including one of Parnell's passengers.
