There's nothing like a few accessories to make a workday ute stand out from the rest. Here's one suggestion of how to tart up your transport for a mere ... $10,500.
This package was put together by Toyota as a motorised mannequin for its light commercial parts and accessories, but all carmakers offer bolt-on bling, and there's also a huge aftermarket.
Although Toyota managed to add more than 10 grand's worth of stuff, Driven reckons we could easily take the total to $20,000 with such extras as a steel bumper/bullbar assembly, a good winch, a fresh-air snorkel, big tyres and some high-end shelving inside the canopy.
Flashing roof lights would be good, too, along with long-range driving lights, a couple of big work lamps on the back of the canopy and an upgraded sound system.
If all that doesn't add up to another $10,000, there's always an aftermarket diff lock to get the truck out of muddy spots and over the price threshhold.
