KEY POINTS:
A United States-hosted website which published secret evidence about alleged military-style weapons training camps in the Ureweras has been closed down.
The site nzclu.org was created by Michael Ross, of Springfield, Missouri claiming to be the official website of the "New Zealand Civil Liberties Union".
But GoDaddy.com, one of the world's biggest providers of internet domain names, confirmed it had shut the site.
Lawyer Moana Jackson is the spokesman for the lawyers representing the 16 facing firearms charges.
Mr Jackson said he was disturbed that the website went up in the first place but pleased it had now been withdrawn.
"The damage has been done in terms of contempt of court and the possibility of prejudicing the firearms trial but those matters will be pursued in court," Mr Jackson said.
He said the lawyers' main concern was not the number of leaks but the source of the original leak.
Police are investigating the source of the original leak but Mr Jackson said the investigation was taking too much time.
