The death of a 38-year-old woman whose body was found in her Upper Hutt home last night is being treated by police as unexplained.
Police were called to an Ebdentown St address about 10.15pm after family members went to the woman's house and discovered her body, Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton said.
A post-mortem examination of the woman's body had been carried out today but it had not determined a preliminary cause of death.
"The death of the woman, aged 38 years, continues to be treated as unexplained at this stage and further enquiries will be conducted throughout the course of the weekend," he said.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the Ebdentown Street area yesterday who could have seen anyone or anything unusual.
