A Canterbury upholstery business has been destroyed by a major fire yesterday.
Anchell Auto Trim and Upholstery's factory in Temuka was well alight when the fire service arrived about 9.45am, the Timaru Herald reported.
Temuka chief fire officer Richard Webb said the fire "pretty much gutted" the building.
A fire investigation team would begin an inquiry into the cause of the blaze.
The owners were in a building beside the factory at the time and no-one was injured or hurt, Mr Webb said.
