There has been some "unruly behaviour" at Auckland's Mt Eden prison overnight.
The Corrections Department said a few prisoners were involved in the unrest while they were locked in the cells overnight. They have been moved to a more secure part of the prison this morning. The Department would not be more specific.
The Department said it had disrupted the schedule for taking prisoners to court for appearances this morning, including property developer Mark Lyon.
Lyon was due in the Auckland District Court on firearms charges but the appearance has been put off until this afternoon.
