Wairarapa United's 12th grade soccer team which won the promo grade in the Wellington junior premier league competition with a record of nine wins, two draws and two losses. Their form was a major improvement on last year where they never managed to win a game although they were playing in a higher grade. Coach Taia put their success down to "hard training and dedication" and at one stage they went eight games without defeat, including five wins.
