Wairarapa United will be trying nothing too fancy in their Central League football match with Palmerston North Marist in Palmerston North tomorrow.
With coach Phil Keinzley on holiday, experienced squad members Adam Cowan and Pita Rabo will be in charge and Cowan says the emphasis will be on a basic, structured style.
"Right now we are still working on combinations and getting them settled has to be a priority," he said. "There are a lot of new faces and it might take another match or two before everything starts to click."
The starting line-up was to be named after last night's training, Cowan expecting at least a couple of changes from the starting side in the 2-1 defeat to Lower Hutt City last Sunday.
Cowan said Palmerston North Marist should be difficult to beat on their home turf but Wairarapa United could win if they focused on playing as a team rather than as individuals: "We need to keep it simple, that's the key."
