KEY POINTS:
United Future leader Peter Dunne emphasised his party's commitment to family values at their campaign launch in Onehunga today.
Mr Dunne said no other political party shared United Future's commitment to New Zealand families.
"We support parents and families for one simple reason - whatever their shape or size, they are all the building blocks of our communities."
He criticised National for focusing too much on the free market and reducing government, while Labour alienated voters by going to the other extreme.
"Labour's overly centralised and prescriptive approach - aided and abetted by the Greens - reeks of a suffocating, 'we know best' approach that simply turns people off."
United Future's campaign will focus on:
* Introducing income splitting for parents with dependent children
* Cutting all tax rates
* Extending paid parental leave to 12 months
* Free tertiary education
* A free "warrant of fitness" health check every year.
