Supreme Wellington psychedelic soul trio The Mantarays stage their debut Wairarapa performance at King Street Live in Masterton this Saturday.
The Mantarays, featuring guitarist Daniel Beban, drummer Anthony Donaldson and Nigel Patterson, also of The Black Seeds, are playing in the region in support of their second EP, Garden of Light.
Their latest EP has been three years in the making and is "a surreal journey through exotic landscapes, astral surf pounders and futuristic abstractions", according to the EP liner notes.
The Mantarays play at King Street Live on Saturday from 7pm. Entry is $10 and only door sales are available. For more information go online to kingstreetlive.co.nz.
