United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan has called on Eritrea to allow five peacekeepers, including a New Zealander, back into the country.
Mr Annan said the Eritrean Government's expulsion of the five on "unsubstantiated" spying charges was a part of a "pattern of hostility" toward the UN.
The Government gave the peacekeepers 24 hours to leave the country.
