The British Government has given up its bid to extradite a Tauranga man accused of trying to defraud the Bank of England.
A court officer confirmed the extradition action against Bryan Archer was withdrawn at the Tauranga District Court yesterday.
Archer, 60, was accused of conspiracy to defraud the bank of $75 billion with forged early banknotes.
