KEY POINTS:
Vandals who went on a tyre puncturing spree in Blenheim are being hunted by police.
More than 130 tyres from 50 vehicles were found to have been punctured between 6pm on Saturday and 5am yesterday.
Police said the tyres on vehicles parked around the central area of Blenheim had been deliberately punctured with a sharp instrument.
"There is a small hole in the top side wall of each tyre," he said.
They estimated the cost of replacing the tyres to be about $16,000.
