Two youths have been arrested following a gunpoint robbery of an elderly woman in Tokoroa on Tuesday.
Police were called to Stanley St about 1pm with a report of a woman's car
being stolen at gunpoint.
The youths allegedly pointed a gun at the grandmother, and demanded that she hand over her keys to her Honda Odyssey.
The stolen car was then used about seven hours later in a robbery of a Hamilton dairy.
The sister of the victim, Lorna Mitchell, told Fairfax media that her sister was pulled from the car at around 1pm.
