Two years to the day since Auckland student Iraena Asher was last seen alive, police say the file on the 25-year-old remains open.
Ms Asher disappeared from the west Auckland coastal settlement of Piha after having called 111 on the night of October 10 and telling an operator she was being pressured for sex.
Police sent a taxi, which went to the wrong address, and a local family later looked after Ms Asher after finding her wandering around seemingly confused.
Early the next morning Ms Asher was seen walking from the home and has not been seen since.
An extensive search of bush in the area turned up no sign of her and there were fears she may have been dragged out to sea in Piha's notorious rip.
A police spokesman said the file on Ms Asher remained open while she was still considered missing.
