A major crash involving two large trucks damaged traffic lights in Christchurch this morning.
The collision, at the corner of Yaldhurst and Russley, was attended by fire appliances at 6.10am, who helped to direct traffic. Police were on the scene from 6.19am and took over redirecting traffic.
The truck drivers were uninjured.
The trucks were not carrying hazardous material, Fire Service Southern Communications shift manger Andrew Norris said.
