Two teenagers will appear in Porirua District Court tomorrow on aggravated robbery charges.
The pair, both from Waitangirua, were arrested today in connection with robbing two Porirua takeaway food businesses in the last few days.
Aged 17 and 19, they are accused of aggravated robbery of the Venus Chinese Takeaway Shop in Cannons Creek on Sunday evening and the Chicken Shack in Mungavin Avenue about 1am today.
Detective Sergeant Brent Clark of the Porirua CIB said the victims in each case were shaken but unharmed.
"We're pleased to have made quick arrests, as these acts of violence in our community are not tolerated," he said.
