Further shark reports at a second eastern Auckland beach are surfacing after swimmers were warned to stay out of the water after two large sharks - one the size of a small boat - were spotted close to shore this morning.
And, for the second day running, sharks have been seen off Muriwai Beach on Auckland's west coast, sparking an alert to beachgoers.
This morning Auckland Council warned swimmers and recreational boaties at Eastern Beach to exercise caution after a confirmation there were sharks in the location.
Now another sighting further south at Maraetai Beach has emerged from a couple who spotted a large fin cutting through the water around 8am.
