Two serious crashes in Waikato this evening

Two serious car crashes are keeping Waikato police busy tonight.

A two-car crash on State Highway 26 between Morrinsville and Te Aroha left two people injured, one seriously.

About 46km east on SH39 at Ngaruawahia, there was a collision between a truck and a utility vehicle. Two people were injured, one critically.

Both roads are closed, detours are in place and emergency services are at both crashes.

The police serious crash unit is investigating both accidents.
