Auckland has been hit with two aggravated robberies in the last 24 hours.
Mt Roskill BNZ bank staff was held up this morning when a man brandished a weapon at them in a brazen daylight robbery. He took a sum of money before fleeing. A police spokeswoman said no one was injured.
At 6am a BP petrol station on Mt Smart Rd was robbed at knifepoint. Two offenders rushed into the premises, demanding cash from the tills.
A police spokeswoman said police were investigating and could not say if the events were linked at this stage.
