Two people had to be rescued from a vehicle that landed on its side in water after a crash in Wellington this afternoon.
The Westpac Rescue helicopter was called to the scene at Muritai Road in Eastbourne about 12.45pm after the vehicle failed to take a tight bend and crashed.
Fire and Ambulance crews were at the scene and extricated two people from the vehicle.
One person was flown to Wellington Hospital with moderate injuries.
