Three people were injured, two seriously, after a quad bike rolled on Waimārama Beach east of Hastings on Wednesday afternoon.
As of Friday, one of the two seriously injured teens had been discharged from Hawke’s Bay Hospital while the other was in a stable condition.
A police spokeswoman said the incident happened on the beachfront of the Waimārama domain area.
Police initially said they were called to the incident on Waimarama Rd, just outside Havelock North, at about 1.50pm on Wednesday.
“Police and ambulance were called after reports of a quad bike rolling,” a police spokesperson said.
