Two patients have been taken to Nelson hospital with moderate injuries following a house fire on Sovereign Street.
Fire services responded at 4.30pm this afternoon to a two story house well involved in fire.
One person was rescued from inside the house and suffered smoke inhalation.
The fire has been extinguished and investigators are working at the scene, emergency services said.
