Two people were hurt when their car hit a truck in Christchurch this morning.
Police and ambulance were called to the corner of Mairehau and Burwood Rds at 5.45am.
The trapped driver and passenger in the car were removed by emergency services crews, said a St John Ambulance southern communications spokesman.
The driver had minor injuries and the passenger was taken to Christchurch Hospital with moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, a truck jack-knifed on State Highway 1 near Ward, south of Blenheim just before 6.30am.
