The woman, who knew the pair, described the woman as a lovely and caring lady.
"I had often been over there and she would come here as she would get Avon Cosmetics off me."

The last time the woman bought cosmetics was about 15 weeks ago.

Another neighbour, who knew the pair, said two police cars remained outside the property today.
"We don't have a lot of information."

It is understood the woman worked as a caregiver and worked at the house alone.
It is also understood she had children.
One man who lived near the property said the last time he saw the woman was when she was walking her dog down the road on Friday afternoon.
"She was a very nice lady and she had just taken her dog for a walk so we were having a chat about our dogs. She didn't seem like there was anything wrong and seemed happy."
A Hawke's Bay Today reporter at the scene said there was one police officer and a patrol car parked in the driveway this afternoon on the quiet street.
She said there were only a few neighbours around and one resident walking their dog.
The house was a single storey bungalow with a gate and hidden from the road by some large trees and a fence.
The matter has been referred to the Coroner.
