Two people have been arrested over a "disgraceful" robbery in which a family with two young children were held up with a broken bottle.
The family from Singapore were confronted by a man after they parked their camper van in Levin's Countdown supermarket car park about 3pm yesterday.
Police yesterday said the robbery was "disgraceful" and had left the family distressed.
Detective Sergeant Peter Vine said a 26-year-old man from Levin and a 19-year-old woman from Waikanae would appear in Blenheim District court this afternoon charged with aggravated robbery.
Police had recovered the vehicle they believe was used during the robbery and a scene examination was underway.
While some of the family's property had been recovered, police would still like to hear from any members of the public who may have witnessed the robbery, Mr Vine said.
