Two on drugs charges

Two people have been arrested after firearms and cannabis were found when the armed offenders squad entered a Waikato house yesterday.

The incident, which police initially described as a hostage situation, involved four people in a house at Mangatawhiri, 60km southeast of Auckland.

A 25-year-old woman and a man were charged with drug offences.
