New Zealand films Boy and Home by Christmas have both received nominations for this year's Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA).
Boy was nominated for best children's feature film and Home by Christmas received a nomination for best performance by an actor for the role played by Australian actor Tony Barry.
A total of 31 films from 15 countries, from as far afield as China and Iran, have been recognised in 2010 with APSA nominations.
Tangshan Dadizheng (Aftershock), from China, which was worked on at New Zealand's Weta Workshops, received a record six nominations.
Winners in the fourth annual APSAs will be determined by an international jury headed by Academy Award-winning producer Lord David Puttnam and be announced at a ceremony on Australia's Gold Coast on December 2.
Boy, directed by and starring Taika Waititi, took home seven awards at the Qantas New Zealand Film and Television Awards, while Home by Christmas, directed by Gaylene Preston, won two awards including for best lead actor.
