KEY POINTS:
Two more arrests have been made after the fatal hit-and-run of a south Auckland mother by a stolen 4WD.
Police said this afternoon two men, 19 and 22, both of Otara, had been charged over the disposal of the stolen vehicle which was found burnt out at the Manukau Sports Bowl on Wednesday.
They would appear in Manukau District Court tomorrow morning.
Joanne Wang, a 39-year-old bakery owner, died early on Tuesday from head injuries she received the previous day at the Westfield Shopping Mall carpark.
A 19-year-old Otara man, who has name suppression, appeared in Manukau District Court this morning facing a charge in relation to the theft of Mrs Wang's handbag, and was remanded in custody.
Mrs Wang, watched by her eight-year-old son, was knocked down by a white 4WD while chasing a man who snatched her handbag at the carpark.
The 4WD was found burning at the Manukau Sports Bowl, less than a kilometre from the mall, about 10am on Wednesday.
It had been stolen from Glen Innes earlier on the day that Mrs Wang was knocked down.
Detective Inspector John Tims said police were still trying to identify the driver of the 4WD vehicle and want to hear from the driver of a red vehicle which was struck by the 4WD at the time of the incident.
Mr Tims said the male driver of the red vehicle knew he was hit and got out of the car and inspected the damage.
Police also want to hear any information on the green people mover vehicle at the scene.
