Two more people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Raymond "Son" Piper.
A 44-year-old Paraparaumu woman, along with a 50-year-old Tauranga man, were arrested in Kapiti this morning and would appear in Porirua District Court this afternoon, Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Oxnam said.
Each face a charge of being a party to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH).
Ainsley Brent Anderson, a 51-year-old Paraparaumu man, appeared in the court this morning charged with Mr Piper's murder.
The court was closed to the public when Anderson appeared because of security concerns. During his brief appearance Anderson was flanked by four police guards.
He was remanded to reappear on July 15.
Police have not found Mr Piper's body.
The 23-year-old was last seen on May 15 when he disappeared from the home of his former partner, Hanna Lark, in Eatwell Avenue, Paraparaumu.
Mr Oxnam said police were focusing on trying to recover Mr Piper's body.
"Anyone who knows any information must call us immediately," he said.
"Raymond's whanau want his body home so they can rest. Any information can be treated confidentially and you will be protected."
