KEY POINTS:
Two young men have pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of Wellington pedestrian Amy Edward-Mintorn who was hit in the central city last August.
Ms Edward-Mintorn was hit while talked on her cellphone as she crossed Cambridge Tce about 1.30am on August 20 .
Police allege the three accused men were in three vehicles which raced away from traffic lights before she was hit by the car driven by Neoton Yousif.
Ms Edward-Mintorn suffered brain injuries and died in hospital about three hours later.
In the High Court at Wellington yesterday Yousif, 20, and David John Hodgson, 19, entered guilty pleas and were remanded on bail to be sentenced on October 23, The Dominion Post reported.
The men were discharged on alternate counts of manslaughter.
A third man, Vance Young-Whaanga, 18, is due to stand trial on both charges starting on October 23.
