Two men have been arrested for a home invasion in Levin in early July.
Police arrested the men, one aged 35 and the other 32, after search warrants were executed at houses in Levin last Friday.
Detective Peter Vine said the men have been charged with assault with intent to rob and aggravated robbery. They appeared in the Levin District Court and have been remanded in custody until Tuesday August 14.
It is alleged that on Monday July 9 the men, armed with a gun and both wearing balaclavas, forced their way into a Tainui Street house.
They are alleged to have confronted a middle-aged couple and their son in the house. The father was taken to Palmerston North Hospital for treatment to an arm injury and his son suffered bruising. The two men fled from the house empty-handed.
