Two people have been hurt in a house fire in New Plymouth.
The house was "well alight'' and four Fire Service crews have been working at dousing the blaze on Ngamotu Road since 7:15pm, David Meikle of central fire communications said.
Two people had been taken to Taranaki Base Hospital: one in a serious condition and the other in a moderate condition, a spokesman for St John said.
Everyone was accounted for, he said.
