Two men suffered serious injuries in separate motorbike crashes in Waikato yesterday.
In the first crash, which took place near Kihikihi, a 57-year-old local resident suffered a serious head injury, the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter spokeswoman said.
The second incident happened east of Tokoroa and involved a younger man who sustained a critical head injury, she said.
Both crashes happened between 1pm and 2pm yesterday.
Both men were airlifted by the rescue chopper and taken to Waikato Hospital for further treatment.
