Police are hunting three armed offenders who smashed their way into a Hawke's Bay home early today, injuring two occupants.
The intruders, carrying a gun and another weapon, burst into the Lyell St house about 2.30am.
"The house was secured and these three offenders have smashed their way into the property to gain entry," Detective Sergeant Darren Pritchard told Hawke's Bay Today.
Two men inside the house suffered minor injuries but a woman was unhurt.
Mr Pritchard said a "small amount of property" was taken, but would not give details of the missing items.
It was not known if the intruders had any connection to the occupants, Mr Pritchard said.
