KEY POINTS:
Two people have been injured in a gun battle in Manukau City.
The pair are being treated in Middlemore Hospital after being dropped there by friends. Shots were heard just after 8pm. Police say they are still working to find out what condition the injured people are in.
Several roads in the suburb of Flatbush have been cordoned off while the Armed Offenders Squad works at an address. Police are advising anyone in the area to stay indoors.
